The four C’s are all components of a balanced fitness regime and a healthy eating plan that produces results efficiently and effectively. I’m all about getting fast results and these very results for life.
So what exactly are the 4 C’s? They are commitment, courage, consistency and choices, but not necessarily in that order.
Commitment first and foremost is needed prior to embarking on any fitness journey. If you can’t make the commitment then why even try because you will fail at achieving your goals. That’s right you will fail! You don’t try to do something. You either do it or you don’t plain and simple. When it comes to exercise you either are willing to do the work or you are not. So are you going to do it?
Courage! Why is courage so important? Well, without a certain amount of courage we wouldn’t even get started. It takes courage to make the decision and the commitment to set specific goals and work hard towards achieving them with failure not as an option. That’s right, failure is not an option. If you are going to change your lifestyle patterns, then change them……just do it. Stop thinking about it and take some action. Any action will do to begin. Failure is no longer an option because if it is you will always gravitate to the path of less resistance.
Consistency is vital! Without consistency nothing is ever achieved and long-term results are not even possible. If you are going to do it then you have to be consistent with it. Living a healthy lifestyle is very much like brushing your teeth in the morning. You don’t think about whether or not you are going to brush your teeth, you just do it. Consistent exercise and healthy eating habits have to be in the same mind set. You don’t think about it…… you just do it.
And last but not least, Choices. This should be a no-brainer. The choices we make determine the results we get in every area of our lives. We make bad choices, we get bad results and vice versa. When you begin making more right choices than bad choices when it comes to your health and weight management, you will begin seeing more positive results. I don’t think I need to say anymore.
So, are you going to try to live a healthy lifestyle or are you going to…….Just do it? I think Nike had it right.
